3 Quick Ways to Trick your Appetite

Hi all, 

Does it sometimes feel as though your appetite is on a mission to make you overeat? Try these 3 tips to keep your cravings and hunger under control. 

1) Get enough sleep 

When you’re tired your hormones get out of whack and that causes appetite surges. Also, if you tend to be an emotional eater getting enough sleep is a good way to make sure you are able to tackle the day to day stresses without turning to binge foods. 

2) Add in some protein

Especially at breakfast time, its important to give yourself something substantial to prevent hunger throughout they day. Including protein ensures that your meal with have some staying power. 

3) Make yourself work for it

Don’t keep snacks readily available, put it in a top shelf or in a inconvenient location so that you’ll think twice before mindlessly reaching for another handful. Also treating snacks like a meal, complete with a plate and utensils, makes you focus in on what you’re eating so you don’t overdo it.
