Hi Aimee -

No, I am not sprinkling Sensa while I'm pregnant. Although Sensa contains ingredients that won't harm the baby it is not recommended to diet while gestating. Besides, this time I have an excuse for having no self control when it comes to food and I am taking advantage as much as possible ;)

Thx -

Thanks for the tip picikay! Luckily, I haven't experienced much nausea not even during my first trimester but I did have food aversions. That's a good idea to make a chart I didn't think about that! I bet it helps you keep on track and stay away from the junk food ;)

Best,
Melissa

Thanks Lincoln log for the bribery tip, I'll keep that in mind! So far I haven't been a huge chocolate fan instead I like gummi worms, bears and fruity candy. But if your doctor allows it, go for it!

Thanks New Mama for sharing. Since I've never gone through this before I do wonder how big my baby will be at birth and hope the unwanted pounds I gain don't go directly to him purely out of fear! Nice work on maintaining the double d's! My sisters are now flat as pancakes now that breastfeeding is no longer needed, but I'm hoping I will be able to keep my two trophy's that are also more than a pound or two!

Although I had a different problem when I was pregnant (on-going nausea, so I never wanted to eat!), I, too, tried to focus on growing a healthy baby. I made a chart of all the dairy, green foods, orange/red foods, etc, I had to eat every day so I could check them off as I went along. I learned to appreciate the sweetness of acorn and butternut squashes--they're filling, and pretty quick and easy to cook. I also used to make canned pumpkin into a pumpkin-pie-like custard (spiced, but with little sugar). It helped me fulfill the baby's dietary needs without too much suffering or weight-gain on my part.

I just came across this through the MamaMio Skincare FB group. You look great! I had crazy weight gain during my pregnancy last year - 65lbs! I exercised three times a week, did yoga, walked often, tried to eat well most of the time and still gained so much weight. Each appointment they would say, you really need to watch what you are eating...I tried most of the time. I thought my baby would be massive, and no, he was barely 7lbs!

It's a year later, and I am under my pre-pregnancy weight. I think if you were healthy before, and healthy during the pregnancy the number doesn't matter as much. Your body does what it needs to do. Just try to eat the best you can...that's all you can do. PS my boobs gained more than 1-2lbs...they went from a 34B/C to a 42G...and now that I've lost all the weight and then some they are still huge at 36DD. Oh well!! :-) Best of luck!

You are my most favorite pregnant woman ever. And the only place you show is your belly, you lucky lady. But even though you still ask me to bring you treats, I resist because i am being the supportive friend. If you would like for me to resume my previous duties just let me know and baby batman and you have some gummi bears on your way!

BTW- the chart of where/how you gain wait was super interesting. I have seriously wondered about that. Thanks for sharing!

Can you eat Twix or Butterfingers or Baby Ruth? What about Snickers? When I was preg, I dunked Cheetos in the chocolate fondue machine I made my husband buy off of one of our wedding vendor (i spent our whole wedding by dunking every victual i could find in choco!). We still break it out on Sundays to bribe the kids into going to church :)

You look beautiful! So does Bruce. It makes me happy you are trying to eat healthy...it must be difficult to control your cravings and food intake and I admire your willpower.
