Getting a Grip
Hi guys!!!!
I hope everyone is sprinkling away with their Sensa!!!! I was in Lake Arrowhead, California over the weekend and we were grilling outside and I was struck by what healthy meals you can make on your grill. So if you haven’t dusted yours off in awhile….try it. We grilled salmon with pesto sauce and corn, yams, green, red and yellow bell peppers, tomatoes, pineapple and asparagus. It was so awesome! And of course before I ate ANYTHING I dusted it with my Sensa. Don’t forget don’t use your Sensa when you are cooking use it when you are about to eat so it is right on the surface of your food.
Also, I just read the greatest book called “Getting a Grip” by Monica Seles. Monica was at the peak of her career when she was stabbed by a crazed Stefi Graf fan. As she recovered she packed on pounds sending her into a battle with her weight that lasted for years and wreaked havoc on her career and her body. Anyway, finally she woke up and effortlessly lost almost 40 lbs. to reach her goal weight of 136. It is such a fantastic book about taking control of your life, your body and your weight in the most healthy way imaginable.
One really cool part is when she meets a star Sumo wrestler and Monica asks him what his diet is like. He says he is on a strict *15,000 CALORIE A DAY DIET***. But the interesting part is how he eats:
1. He fasts until noon and then eats a HUGE meal of several thousand calories 2. Then he goes directly to sleep 3. Then he fasts again until dinner and eats a HUGE meal of several more thousand calories 4. Then he goes directly to sleep again.
5. There are more but I forgot them ☺
So the lesson I gleaned from this is: eat as soon as you get up…eat small portions throughout the day…and then don’t eat and then go to sleep.
Anyway, I wish everyone happiness health and conscious eating!!!
Xxoo,
Dayna
