Green Tea Weight Loss Benefits

You may be asking yourself, what are some green tea weight loss benefits? Well, you have come to the right place for some answers. For starters, did you know that one pound of fat is equivalent to 3500 calories?  Yikes! I didn’t. Drinking green tea regularly will increase your metabolism and help burn fat safely and naturally because it contains high concentrations of catechin polyphenols. When mixed with other chemicals these compounds intensify levels of fat oxidation and thermogenesis, where heat is created in the body burning fuels such as fat. Lower Cholesterol is another green tea weight loss benefit which causes carbohydrates to be released slowly, preventing sharp increases in blood-insulin levels which promotes the burning of fat. It also reduces high blood pressure, lowers blood sugar and has been known to fight cancer.

As stated above, certain green teas do not contain caffeine. Please be sure to pick the decaffeinated ones if you are trying to avoid caffeine. Thank you!

  3. I take 2 Green Tea Extract capules daily at 500 mg. Do I get the same benifits mentioned above from the capules or should I be drinking the tea instead?

  4. Hi Ellen,
Thank you for taking the time to read my post. As for your question of drinking green tea or taking the capsules, I believe it comes down to a matter of taste. Since, there is no conclusive evidence that a one form provides greater health benefits than the other. If you drink the tea, it is generally more economical and you are consuming extra water. But when it comes down to it, it’s your choice!
