Make Sparks Fly with these Valentine’s Day Recipes
Hi Sprinklers!
I’m back just in time for Valentine’s Day to give you some yummy ideas on how to celebrate this special day. Here is a light menu that will help set the mood for a romantic Valentine’s date! I incorporated a lot of ingredients that you probably already use regularly and spicing them up to make a simple, delicious, and light meal that will literally make sparks fly with you and your date, especially when you use natural aphrodisiac ingredients!
Appetizer:
Shaved asparagus avocado and Parmesan salad
1 bunch asparagus with ends cut off
Juice of 1 lemon
3T olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
1/3 shaved Parmesan
1 whole avocado sliced
Take asparagus and make shavings using a vegetable peeler toss in bowl with salt pepper, lemon juice, and olive oil. Top with avocado slices and shaved Parmesan. Asparagus has a bunch of great nutrients like folic acid, vitamin B6, and A which are shown to boots the ability to “make things extra special” for both men and women in the bedroom. So really this salad will be enjoyed twice on your romantic date!
Main Course:
Almond crusted halibut with fresh lemon juice
6-6-oz. halibut fillets
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1/4-cup fresh bread crumbs
2/3 cup sliced almonds
1 egg, lightly beaten
Preheat broiler. Pat fillets dry and season with salt and pepper. In a large non-stick skillet heat oil and 1 tablespoon butter over moderately high heat until foam subsides and sauté fillets in 2 batches for 2 to 3 minutes on each side, or until golden and just cooked through. Transfer fillets with a slotted spatula to a baking sheet and cool 5 minutes. In a small bowl with a fork stir together breadcrumbs, almonds, and remaining tablespoon butter. Brush tops of fillets with egg and spread with almond mixture. Broil fillets about 3 inches from heat 1 to 2 minutes, or until browned. Place halibut over a large mound of steamed or sautéed spinach and squeeze fresh lemon juice all over the fish. With this course, there are a few aphrodisiac ingredients you’re working with the main being almonds. The scent of almonds is said to entice passion in females. Also, the high dose vitamins found in the almonds is linked to boosting those extra feel good emotions.
Dessert:
Chocolate Dipped Strawberries
6 oz. Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
3 oz. White Chocolate Chips
About 20 washed and dried strawberries
Put the semi-sweet and white chocolates into 2 separate bowls. Melt the in a microwave at half power for about 1 minute, stir and heat for another minute or until melted. Once the chocolates are melted and smooth, remove the heat. Line a sheet pan with waxed or parchment paper. Holding the strawberry by the stem, dip the fruit into the dark chocolate, lift and twist slightly, letting any excess chocolate fall back into the bowl. Set strawberries on waxed paper. Repeat with the rest of the berries. Dip a form in the white chocolate and drizzle the white chocolate over the dipped strawberries. Set the strawberries aside until the chocolate sets, about 30 minutes. Chocolate and strawberries are obviously sexy but when put together, they are outright dangerous! You might save this ingredient for serious dates only! If you really want to spice things up with you and your date try sprinkling a little cayenne pepper over your dessert….HOT!
I hope these healthy recipes for romance will keep your night hot and but not so heavy! Nothing is worse than feeling bloated and full on a romantic date! With that said I have a little poem for you….
Roses are red, violets are blue, sprinkle SENSA on his food and yours too! Happy Valentine’s Day!
Smooches!
