Revive Your Self-Confidence with SENSA
Self-Confidence requires a part of you that only you can bring to the surface and live out. Golda Meir says, “Trust yourself. Create the kind of self that you will be happy to live with all your life. Make the most of yourself by fanning the tiny, inner sparks of possibility into flames of achievement.”
I realized I had lost this part of myself through many decisions I had made that turned out to be a great disappointment to me. Battling my weight, not being happy with the way I looked, listening to others and what they had to say about my weight gain and trusting others to have the right diet program for me to make my dreams come true.
I would start out with feeling unstoppable but not long into the program I would see how impossible it was for me to stay on track due to the restrictions, the work and time I had to put into it or how the diet made me feel physically uncomfortable overall.
As I continued pursuing different diets I would find myself developing a fear of failing, becoming a disappointment to others and my self-confidence plummeting to an all-time low. And fanning the tiny, inner sparks of possibility into flames of achievement were looking impossible, overshadowed by a blanket of depression filled with hopelessness.
When I thought all hope was gone I saw an infomercial advertising SENSA, a weight-loss system that required little of my time and energy, no restrictions and a scientific study done with 1436 people that had a weight-loss of 30.5 pounds in six months. Was it possible that the tiny spark was still there and the excitement within my spirit was fanning a new beginning and hope for me?
Mark Victor Hansen’s words made me believe that this might be the time to trust and try again. “Don’t wait until everything is just right. It will never be perfect. There will always be challenges, obstacles and less than perfect conditions. So what. Get started now. With each step you take you will grow stronger and stronger, more and more skilled, more and more self-confidence and more and more successful”
I decided to take the plunge and try SENSA for the next 6 months and see if this was the answer for me. But with that said, I knew I would have to develop strategies for developing confidence to achieve my goals.
Four Strategies to achieve success:
1. Focus on your strengths.
I failed at so many programs or should I say so many programs failed me with too many unreasonable variables to live by. So I decided to start by crediting myself with all the many challenges and obstacles I had overcome. I also gave myself small mini-rewards for each goal I accomplished on my SENSA Journey. It was important that I became aware of my limitations and operate within these boundaries and as my weight began to drop my confidence increased and I began to expand my horizons.
2. Be willing to take risks.
Believing in another weight-loss program when you have been burnt so many times is risky at best. I set out to prove that SENSA was either true or false. My part was to sprinkle everything I eat except liquids, be consistent and as they advertized, let the weight fall off. I learned as long as I was faithful SENSA was too. And then there were the people in my life that thought what I was doing was either too expensive or another dumb diet that I was going to fail at. But in order to grow and become more aware of what I needed for me, I stepped out and did what was in my best interest. After all this was about me and I had to live with myself for the rest of my life. Depression had become my enemy and a life without hope and I was not willing to let anything or anyone keep me from moving forward.
3. Self-talk builds self-confidence.
I realized that the things I told myself were tearing down my self-esteem and any chance for success. I had allowed others to influence my decisions which ultimately gave me an excuse to not try at all. It was time to take a stand and believe that SENSA was going to work for me. I started by giving myself permission to do this one day at a time, without being perfect at my attempts but to do my best. I found that I was growing stronger and stronger, becoming more and more skilled, gaining more and more confidence and having more and more success.
4. Allow others to support you.
I found that the more I was criticized for the different attempts I made to improve my life the more independent I became. Protecting me was more comforting than putting myself in harm’s way. SENSA knowing the support and encouragement we need to build our self-confidence and have success provided us with the SENSA Community. A place filled with like-minded people on the same journey, struggling with many of the same issues; like the criticism and jeering from others at our previous efforts as well as beating ourselves up for failed attempts at losing our unwanted weight. So surrounding ourselves with people that are working toward the same goal gives each of us a better return on your investment.
In closing, be fair in your assessment of yourself as this is a part of building your self-confidence. Making reasonable assumptions of your progress and being willing to change whatever it takes to reach your goals. The question we need to ask ourselves is how do I feel about my own behavior, my efforts, my communication and my self-talk? It is very important for you to command a stronger sense of self as this will prevent you from giving away your personal power to others and finding an excuse to quit. So make the most of yourself by fanning the tiny, inner sparks of possibility into flames which will build your self-confidence and reward you with great success. I Lost 45#s in 7 months and have gone from a size 14 to a 4 with SENSA. The confidence I have gained and the skills I have developed are to help you reach your potential. So let’s get started!

Coach Miriam~ A few things jumped out at me as I read this article about Self-Confidence. My Self-Confidence has reached much higher peaks over the years. I have the Self-Talk down pat! I have focused on my Strengths but didn’t really take a long look at my weaknesses, on of which is “Be willing to take risks”…Believe! I Believe in SENSA, SENSA is working for me. I have been at a stand still for quite awhile, we talked & I stood stubborn & did not risk the idea of pushing my calories to the top of the recommended daily amount for me to lose! The last week-with a sinus cold, I have pushed the calories up & am drinking more water & green tea. I got on the scales this morning & am almost back to last Wednesday’s Weigh-In. Reading your article today & seeing the weight go down, I Believe now that I am willing to change my caloric intake to get me to my goal weight. Thank You ~ Once Again for your ingenious words of wisdom!

Hello Betty. Thank your for sharing the changes you now are willing to take to do your part in your weight-loss program with SENSA. Weaknesses come out when we find ourselves many times in the same place, not making the progress we had hoped. In our case, increasing your calorie intake allows your body to let go of the weight and like you said, the scale went down. Keep up the good work and I know you will be successful on our SENSA Journey!
