Meditation Techniques That Can Help Weight Loss
Meditation Techniques That Can Help Weight Loss
Meditation: is a holistic discipline during which time the practitioner trains his or her mind in order to realize some benefit. Meditation is generally a subjective, personal experience and most often done without any external involvement. There are many meditation techniques that can help you lose weight.
If you are an emotional eater you can help curb that behavior by meditating. Meditating helps the body and mind relax and be at ease. Many people confuse actual hungry with mixed emotions or boredom.
Starting your diet off with a clear head and specific goals is the best way to hit your target. Once you are ready to start your weight loss journey you should consider meditating to help get your body and brain in the right mind set.
Four Steps in the Meditation Process
1. Find a special place to meditate in. A place that you won’t be disturbed, some were like the corner of your bedroom, a quiet spot on your lawn/deck/porch.
2. Sit in your most comfortable place, either on the floor with your back supported or in a chair. If you like, you can lean against a wall, using a cushion for added support. If you prefer other position you can learn more about them at the Meditation Infocenter.
3. Meditating is not easy; at first you should concentrate on just breathing, without trying to control or change your normal breathing pattern.
4. Let your brain rest. Ignore all distractions; if you get distracted by passing thoughts, just remind yourself to not worry about it and that you will come back to it later. Go back to concentrating on your breathing. If you find your brain won’t rest, keep a pad and pencil nearby. Write down anything that is distracting you from meditation and promise yourself that you’ll deal with them when you’re done. Think of a black room and your inside of it and there is nothing else.
Start off with 10 minutes a day and work your way up to a half hour a day. Here is a list of benefits of meditating. You will feel better all around and be conscious of the things that truly matter!
Namaste,

Holy Smokes JeJe, this is great stuff and SOOO helpful. It’s a proven fact (I know from experience) that relaxing and opening your mind to allow for healthier options/suggestions will replace old destructive habits/behaviors. Simply breathing in peace and exhaling negative thoughts and energy is all it takes to grab on that feeling of calm and run with it for the rest of the day. I’m so glad you shared this on the fan page. Positivity can be more contagious than negativity if we allow for it. Thanks for reminding us all about this.

I would really like to learn to relax and take the guilt I share with myself out of my mind.
Please help me.
Also, I really need a lot of help with my self esteem. I’m not able to focus for long periods of time. Is there still help for me.
I do have one question. What is the average weight loss in the first 3 months?
