Hi all,
The holiday season is almost over but as there are sure to be some festivities in your near future this week I thought a helpful reminder about high calorie beverages might be in order. As you know Sensa is not effective in liquids (curses!) and so it is really important that you pay attention to what you are drinking so that you don’t sabotage your weight loss efforts with drinks. It is easy to lose track of how many sweetened coffees and sodas you have enjoyed through the day and those empty calories really do add up. Over the holidays we tend to add more alcoholic beverages than normal and that can do even more damage to your waistline. Not only do they pack a higher caloric punch than regular beverages, but they reduce your resistance making you more prone to mindless snacking and eating past fullness.
Here’s a handy chart of your favorite beverages calorie counts:
5 oz wine – 100 calories
5 oz champagne – 130 calories
12 oz light beer – 105 calories
12 oz regular beer – 140 calories
3 oz cosmopolitan – 165 calories
8 oz gin and tonic – 175 calories
3 oz martini – 205 calories
8 oz margarita – 200 calories
4 oz whisky sour – 200 calories
8 oz long island iced tea – 400 calories
My favorite trick is going with a white wine spritzer (half wine, half soda water) for a low calorie treat, or a diet coke with a shot of rum does the trick nicely too!
Happy Holidays!
xoxo,
Miss T

I’m looking for support not necessarily a reply, I am on my 3month shake just now and I’m sort of discouraged I may have shedded about 8/9 pounds and that’s with exercise+sensa so I’m just kinda bumbed

Hi Barbara! Alcohol is empty calories so try to limit yourself as much as you can. Plus beer can bloat your stomach. But, it does not effect the way SENSA works at all.
