Weight Loss and Stress

Hi all,

It’s no secret that stress can lead to unwanted weight gain and unfortunately the holidays do seem to cause all of us to feel a little additional pressure. However, simply having unrealistic expectations about weight loss in general can increase your stress levels throughout the year, so it is important to assess yourself regularly to ensure you aren’t holding yourself back from success. Check out Spark People’s Weight Loss Expectations Quiz to see where you stand and learn how to make adjustments in your attitude moving forward if necessary. For example, I just learned that sometimes, just holding steady and not gaining (or regaining) weight is a very significant accomplishment! Instead of beating yourself up for a stagnant week, we should learn to congratulate ourselves on successful maintenance. Especially this time of year…

xoxo,

  1. Thanks for the article. I have usually seen that many people are needing to lose weight as they wish to appear slim and attractive. Even so, they do not usually realize that there are many benefits for you to losing weight as well. Doctors declare that fat people have problems with a variety of health conditions that can be instantly attributed to their excess weight. Thankfully that people that are overweight as well as suffering from different diseases can help to eliminate the severity of their own illnesses by losing weight. It is possible to see a constant but noted improvement in health when even a minor amount of fat reduction is reached.
